Frequently asked questions

How strict is Business Finland?+

Approval rate is ~40%. Strongest applications show a working MVP, technical team, international market and clear scalability. Pre-revenue is fine if innovation is defensible.

Do I need to speak Finnish?+

Not for the visa. Finnish business operates extensively in English. B1.1 Finnish or Swedish is only required for citizenship after 5 years.

Can I bring co-founders?+

Each founder applies individually but can reference the same Business Finland eligibility statement when filed as a team.
